ICB’s patented Dual Density Heat Moulding Orthotics are a world first in orthotic design and manufacture. Designed by ICB’s Research and Development Team, practitioners using ICB Orthotics can achieve enhanced patient treatment outcomes.
ICB Dual Density Orthotics are manufactured from 100% EVA – a material that in its pure form is easy to heat and mould, with superior resilience, allowing it to maintain it’s shape. ICB Orthotics are thus able to be fully customised: i.e. heat moulded directly to the patient’s foot or plaster cast, and quickly modified by grinding or heating deflections to create specific shapes – allowing Practitioners to offer and create a fully customised solution, within the clinic setting.
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) has a long ‘construction memory’ and can moulded and adjusted to the patient’s feet or plaster, simply by applying heat.
No air bubbles – so ICB Orthotics will resist compression and distortion, resulting in a longer product lifespan.
Is a midfoot stabiliser which runs longitudinally from the midfoot through to the forefoot and splays out in a triangular shape. The Triangular Shaft allows weight to be dispersed evenly across the metatarsals through, the unique Weight Distribution System (WDS).
The ideal angle for optimum function and performance as recommended by industry standards.
This gives biomechanical control of the subtalar joint during stance and gait, allowing balance, control and coordination.
The firmer density EVA provides support to the longitudinal arch and rearfoot, aiding in mid tarsal joint support; whilst the lower density EVA provides the patient with forefoot comfort during gait cycle.
ICB has developed a range of additions designed to enable quick and easy orthotic customisation in the clinic setting. ICB Additions are a unique universal design making them reversible for application to both a left and right foot orthotics using the premium 3M double-sided tape supplied.
ICB Orthotic Additions are also made from EVA, making them able to be easily modified (if required) using heat and hand or bench grinders. Each type of addition is available in multiple sizes, to accomodate the individual patient’s requirements.
